Who we are

Meetchina365 operates a global business-to-business sourcing platform for pet products. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store and otherwise process personal data when you visit our website, submit a sourcing inquiry, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services.

For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Meetchina365 is the controller of the personal data described in this policy, except where we process data on behalf of a supplier or another business partner under their instructions. When we share your inquiry with a supplier, that supplier may act as an independent controller of the information you provide.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use the site, and information received from business partners.

  • Contact and business details: name, company name, job title, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country, and business preferences.
  • Sourcing and order details: products of interest, quantities, target prices, customization or OEM/ODM requirements, destination market, shipping preferences, delivery address, order notes, preferred payment method, sample requests, and any other information you include in messages or attachments.
  • Account and communication data: account or login details where an account feature is available, correspondence with us or with suppliers through the platform, and records of your consent.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and security logs.
  • Attribution data: UTM parameters, search or advertising identifiers such as gclid or fbclid, and the page from which you reached an inquiry form or checkout page.
  • Browser storage: cart and wishlist contents, cookie preferences, and similar settings stored on your device.

We do not ask for payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal data through this website. Please do not include sensitive information in free-text messages or product images.

How we use information

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • Responding to inquiries and order requests, preparing quotations, matching buyers with relevant suppliers, and facilitating sample, pricing, and production discussions.
  • Providing product and supplier information, search, cart, wishlist, and other site features.
  • Improving our content, supplier matching, and user experience, and understanding which pages and products are useful.
  • Protecting the security and integrity of the platform, preventing fraud and abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • Sending service messages and, where permitted, marketing communications about products, suppliers, or industry updates. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
  • Complying with legal obligations, responding to lawful requests, and establishing or defending legal claims.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: (a) performance of a contract or steps you ask us to take before entering a contract; (b) our legitimate interests in operating and improving a B2B sourcing platform, provided your rights are not overridden; (c) your consent where required, for example for marketing emails or non-essential cookies; and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser local storage to operate the site, remember your cart and wishlist, keep preferences, understand basic usage, and protect against abuse. Strictly necessary storage is used to deliver the site. Analytics or marketing cookies are only used where permitted and, where required, with your consent.

Our Cookie Settings page explains the categories currently in use and lets you record your preferences.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some features, such as the cart or wishlist, may stop working if local storage is blocked.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it in the following circumstances:

  • With suppliers or sourcing partners relevant to your inquiry, so they can respond, quote, provide samples, or discuss an order.
  • With service providers that help us host the site, send email, store media, provide analytics or security, and support customers. They are required to protect the data and use it only for the services they provide.
  • With our affiliates, professional advisers, auditors, or insurers where necessary for our business.
  • With authorities, courts, or other parties where required by law, to protect rights, safety, or security, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Because this is a sourcing platform, information you submit in an inquiry is intended to be shared with relevant suppliers. Please do not include information you are not authorized to share.

International transfers

Our production servers are currently located in the United States. Our team, suppliers, and service providers may access personal data from other countries, including China.

Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a country that has not been recognized as providing an adequate level of protection, we implement appropriate safeguards, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with additional technical and organizational measures where needed.

You can contact us for more information about the safeguards we use.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Inquiry records, quotations, and related correspondence are normally retained for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required for a contract, dispute, accounting, or legal obligation.

When the retention period ends, we delete or anonymize the data. Some information may remain in backup systems for a limited period and in aggregated statistics that do not identify you.

Cart and wishlist data stored in your browser remains until you clear it or your browser storage.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, access controls, logging, and confidentiality obligations for staff and contractors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as required by applicable law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already took place.
  • Opt out of marketing communications.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise a right, email chloe.song@meetchina365.com with the subject "Privacy request". We may ask for information to verify your identity and locate your records. We will respond within the time required by law, normally within one month. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why.

You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link included in each email.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and professional buyers. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we may notify you by email or with a prominent notice on the site. Where consent is required, we will ask for it again.

When you submit an inquiry, we record the version of this policy that was current at that time.
